Mystic Sandstorm Spike- Build Concept
Well I recently saw some people in HoH doing something similar to this. Basically 5 D/A cast 4 enchantments on themselves, teleport via Aura of Displacement to the same target, and bomb it with mystic sandstorm. It was actually very well put together. 4 echantments X 37 dmg = 148. 5 players X 148 = 740dmg, pretty much enough to kill enemy and the sudden mystic sandstorm bomb leaves no time for Monks to heal. Heres Build:
~ 5 D/A
~ 2 Monks
~ N/Mo
D/A
Vital Boon
Mirage Coat
Aura of Thorns
Aura of Displacement
Mystic Sandstorm
Pious Haste
Dash
Mystic Sweep
Attributes:
12+1+3 Earth Prayers
12+1 Mysticism
Equiptment: Staff for +20 energy
Monks:
Mo/A LoD infuser
Light of Deliverance
Infuse Health
Orison
Signet of Rejuvination
Dismiss Condition
Holy Veil
Return
Dark escape
Attributes:
12+1+2 Healing
11+1 Divine
2+1 Protection
6 shadow arts
Mo/A ZB Prot Monk:
Reversal of Fortune
Dissmiss Condition
Zealous Benidiction
Signet of Devotion
Protectie Spirit
Holy veil
Return
Dark Escape
Attributes:
12+1+1 Protection
11+1 Divine
6 Shadow Arts
Necro: Some sort of healing necro Possible Order of Aposty.
Heal Party
Heal Area
Heal Other
Infuse Health
Jaime's Gaze
Order of Apostasy
Extinguish
Res Sig
Attributes:
12+1+3 Curses
12 Healing
All dervishes kept together. They cast enchants, AoD to a called target, sandstormed it, then dashed and pious hastes back. They kept repeating and eventually won.
Anyone know the exact name of team, use it before, or know any other information about it?
EDIT: Added all Skills+Attributes becuase admin wanted them

well, haven't seen this build yet, but i imagine that the enchant removal from sandstorm would remove AoD and u wouldn't need to run out; this would free up skill slots, enabling you to add more utility to the dervs
BTW, sandstorm dmg caps at 130

Imagine the aftercast, when the spike target gets pre protted, and this build fails.

nothing new actually, seen this build quiet alot a week after NF release. It's ok but theres better, quiet easy to infuse spikes. The only way this build would really be effective is to take advantage of choke points.

I fought one of these yesterday running 4 thumpers under ooa. It was rather hilarious how they tried to put up their enchants until they all died in about a minute.

you got some skills wrong, the dervs dont have mystic sweep or dash, they use imbue health and signet of pious light.
and people, are right, its not too hard 2 counter.
1 monk was able to prevent the spike from ever killing their ghostly hero, when the 5 dervs tried 2 go and spike it
prot and sb kills this build.

That's why you spike the infuser, and remove his enchants just before.
If done correctly, should be impossible to protect against the working spike.
Also, shadow step skills have no after cast.
To counter just avoid balling, pre prot a lot shutdown/interupt the dervishes.

Its also earth dmg, mind you, hard targets are a pain to spike when only 500 of that spike is showing. the build does work, and preprotting cant 100% save it. just pick a target without a little yellow arrow. The problem is recharge time + conditional state of the build. The spike is completely random however: there is no dead giveaway to who the target is (except for spread out party members). Oh, yeah, and the utility is garbage. (nonexistant)

sorry if i offend any one by posting this as my first post. but i have been tinkering with it for a while now.
My take at this build:
http://gwshack.us/8a30f
Mystic Twister adds more omph to the spike and it still casts relatively fast.
my team dose another spike at relatively the same time to spread healing thin divide and conquer.
works some times and dose not some times. i only PvP for fun though....
-Edit for some clarity

I played this build for a while in Heroes ascent in 6v6 and it worked well with 4 D and 2 M. Now that 8v8 is back the recharge time is very long and the ennemies have time to pressure us and rez their teamates.
We changed it a bit and used 3 D / 1 El / 2 A / 2 M it's better but not very effective yet.. The spike is made with the 3 D and the El and is still good.
